§ 35.31 FIRE CHIEF; ASSISTANT FIRE CHIEF.
   (A)   The positions of Fire Chief and Assistant Fire Chief are hereby established.
   (B)   The positions of Fire Chief and Assistant Fire Chief shall be filled by appointment of the Mayor with the approval of the City Council.
   (C)   The Volunteer Fire Department shall operate pursuant to rules and regulations promulgated by the Volunteer Fire Department and approved by the Mayor and City Council.

TOURISM AND CONVENTION COMMISSION
§ 35.35 ESTABLISHMENT.
   Pursuant to KRS 91A.350(2), the City Council does hereby establish a Tourism and Convention Commission for the purpose of promoting convention and tourist activity.

§ 35.36 MEMBERSHIP.
   The Commission established pursuant to KRS 91A.350(2) shall be composed of seven members to be appointed, in accordance with the method used to establish the Commission. All members of this Commission established by the city shall be separately appointed by the Mayor of the city.

§ 35.37 NOMINATION.
   Names of candidates for appointment to the Commission shall be submitted to the Mayor in the following manner:
   (A)   (1)   Three from a list of six or more names submitted by the Munfordville Hotel and Motel Association, or if none exists, by the Kentucky Hotel and Motel Association. If no formal local city or county hotel and motel association is in existence upon the establishment of the Commission, or upon the expiration of the term of a Commissioner appointed by the appropriate chief executive officer or officers, from persons residing within the jurisdiction of the Commission and representing local hotels or motels.
      (2)   The Munfordville Hotel and Motel Association shall not be required to be affiliated with the Kentucky Hotel and Motel Association to be recognized as the official city hotel and motel association.
   (B)   (1)   One Commissioner from a list of three or more names submitted by the Munfordville Restaurant Association, or if none exists, by the Kentucky Restaurant Association. If no formal local restaurant association or associations exist upon the establishment of the Commission, or upon the expiration of the term of a Commissioner appointed pursuant to this division, then one Commissioner shall be appointed by the appropriate chief executive officer or officers from persons residing within the jurisdiction of the Commission and representing a local restaurant.
      (2)   The Munfordville Restaurant Association shall not be required to be affiliated with the Kentucky Restaurant Association to be recognized as the official city hotel and motel association.
   (C)   One Commissioner from a list of three or more names submitted by the Chamber of Commerce. If no local chamber of commerce is in existence upon the establishment of the Commission, or upon the expiration of the term of a Commissioner appointed pursuant to this division, then one Commissioner shall be appointed by the appropriate chief executive officer or officers from persons residing within the jurisdiction of the Commission and representing local businesses.
   (D)   Two Commissioners appointed directly by the Mayor.
