(a) No person shall violate any provision of the Maintenance Ordinances. Violators shall be served with notice of their violations by the Property Maintenance Enforcement Officer pursuant to the procedures prescribed in Section 1303.05. Persons who fail to remedy their violations in the time period prescribed shall be referred for criminal prosecution by the Law Director, subject to the penalties prescribed in Chapter 1399.
(b) In addition to prosecuting violations of the Maintenance Ordinances, the Law Director may seek an injunction against a property owner or tenant to restrain, correct or abate a violation, or to prevent or terminate the unlawful occupancy of a building, structure, or premises, or to stop an illegal act, conduct, business or utilization of a building, structure or premises.
