§ 91.34 ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICERS.
   The Board of Public Works and Safety shall appoint Animal Control Officers as necessary to take dogs into custody and to administer the provisions of this subchapter. Animal Control Officers shall, at all times while on duty, wear a suitable uniform and badge and are hereby empowered to issue written notices and file charges in Posey County courts for violations of the provisions of this subchapter. It shall be unlawful for any person to resist or obstruct Animal Control Officers in the exercise or discharge of their respective duties under this subchapter. The police will assist Animal Control Officers when necessary. The Animal Control Officer reports to the Chief of Police, the Mayor, and the Board, as requested.
