A. The mayor and board of trustees of the village may provide by resolution for the compensation of the members and chairperson of the commission.
B. The commission shall adopt rules for the conduct of its hearings and meetings, which rules shall not conflict with this article. Such rules may include the creation of a committee authorized to conduct the appropriate public hearings at any time two (2) or more members of the commission are present. Such a committee may not conduct hearings or render a decision in any matter which requires an affirmative vote of three (3) or more members. Except for meetings of the aforementioned committee of two (2), the presence of four (4) members shall constitute a quorum.
1. In the case of meetings when no public hearing is to be conducted, the rules shall provide that business may be conducted if a simple majority of the currently filled commission positions are present.
2. For the purpose of determining a quorum at meetings and members present at public hearings, the chairperson and the associate member shall be considered members of the commission. (Ord. 6149, 8-5-2014)
