§ 96.01 RECREATION COMMITTEE; PARK SUPERINTENDENT.
   (A)   A Recreation Committee for the city is established consisting of five at-large members to be appointed by the Mayor.
   (B)   Members of the Committee shall be residents of the city and shall serve without compensation.
   (C)   Originally two members shall be appointed to two-year terms, and three members shall be appointed to three-year terms. Thereafter, all members shall be appointed to three-year terms. Vacancies on the Committee occurring otherwise than by expiration of a term shall be filled for the unexpired term in the same manner as the original appointments.
   (D)   The Committee shall select its Chairperson from among its members. The Committee shall meet the second Thursday of every month at 7:30 p.m.
   (E)   If a member misses more than two Committee meetings without being excused by a majority of the remaining Committee members, that member shall be removed from the Committee and the Mayor shall appoint another individual to fill the unexpired term.
   (F)   It shall be the duty of the Committee to plan, develop, and coordinate programs and activities for the park and swimming pool.
   (G)   There is established the position of Park Superintendent who shall be appointed by the Mayor. The Park Superintendent, under the direction of the City Manager, shall be responsible for the operation of the parks and shall cooperate with the Committee in implementing the programs established.
