(a) The fire hydrants shall be five and one-quarter-inch AWW A fire hydrant or the latest revision thereof and a product of Mueller, or an approved equal. The opening direction shall be left.
(b) Fire hydrants shall have a standardized mechanical joint, one and one-half inch pentagon operating nut and nozzle cap nut, with two hose nozzles 180 degrees apart, one pumper in between. The hose nozzle threading shall be two and one-half inches National Standard Hose Thread. The pumper nozzle threading shall be four and one-half inches National Standard Pumping Hose Thread.
(c) All hydrants shall have a watch valve.
