Temporary uses shall be permitted in applicable zone districts by the grant of a zoning permit issued by the City in accordance with the approval of such temporary use by the Board of Zoning Appeals or as specifically allowed by Section 1183.04. (Ord. 1170. Passed 6-27-96.)
The Board of Zoning Appeals may authorize the temporary use of a building or premises in any district for a purpose or use that does not conform to the regulations described by this Zoning Code for the district in which it is located; provided that such use be of a temporary nature and does not involve the erection of substantial buildings. Such certificates shall be granted in the form of a temporary and revocable permit for a period of time determined by the Board, subject to such conditions as will safeguard the public health, safety, convenience and general welfare.
