§ 72.04 MUNICIPAL PARKING LOTS.
   (A)   Municipal parking lots within the city are located as set forth in the appendix to this chapter and Chapter 77, Schedule I.
   (B)   (1)   The parking of motor vehicles in each municipal parking lot shall be restricted as set forth in Chapter 77, Schedule I, unless otherwise posted.
      (2)   No vehicle shall be parked in any municipal parking lot for purposes of displaying the vehicle for sale.
       (3)   Parking spaces in all municipal parking lots except Lot G shall be designated with painted lines upon the surface of the parking lots. All vehicles parked in a municipal parking lot shall be parked in accordance with the painted lines. All vehicles shall be parked head-in; no vehicles shall be backed into a parking space.
      (3)   Parking spaces in all municipal parking lots except Lots C and G shall be designated with painted lines upon the surface of the parking lots. All vehicles parked in a municipal parking lot shall be parked in accordance with the painted lines.
   (C)   Each municipal parking lot except Lots C and G shall be painted to indicate the parking spaces in each parking lot. The parking spaces shall conform with the diagrams of each parking lot. One or more signs shall be posted at each municipal parking lot clearly identifying the parking restrictions that apply to that lot. Each sign shall be clearly legible and placed in a position as to be noticed by the driving public. The number of signs needed for each parking lot and the placement of each sign shall be determined by the City Administrator.
   (D)   Definitions.
      (1)   For the purpose of this section and Chapter 77, Schedule I, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
         CODE. The Illinois Vehicle Code, ILCS Ch. 625, Act 5, § 1-100, as amended.
         PARK. The standing of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, even though the standing is only temporary or for the purpose of loading or unloading passengers or merchandise.
         PERSON. Every natural person, firm, co-partnership, association, corporation or entity.
      (2)   Any other term, word or phrase herein which is not defined herein and which may require a definition shall be defined as provided in ILCS Ch. 625, Act 5, §§ 1-101 et seq., if a definition is provided for therein, and if not, as provided in the Municipal Code of the City of Monticello.
