§ 72.01 PARKING PROHIBITED.
   (A)   No person shall stop, stand, or park any vehicle upon any street, other than an alley, in a manner or under such conditions as to leave available less than 10 feet of the width of the roadway for free movement of vehicular traffic, except that a driver may stop temporarily during the actual loading or unloading of passengers or when necessary in obedience to traffic regulations, traffic signs, or signals of a police officer.
   (B)   No person shall park a vehicle within an alley in a manner or under such conditions as to leave available less than 10 feet of the width of the roadway for the free movement of vehicular traffic.

   (C)   Definitions.
      (1)   For the purpose of this section and Chapter 77, Schedule II, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
         CODE. The Illinois Vehicle Code, ILCS Ch. 625, Act 5, § 1-100, as amended.
         PARK. The standing of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, even though the standing is only temporary or for the purpose of loading or unloading passengers or merchandise.
         PERSON. Every natural person, firm, co-partnership, association, corporation or entity.
      (2)   Any other term, word or phrase herein which is not defined herein and which may require a definition shall be defined as provided in ILCS Ch. 625, Act 5, §§ 1-101 et seq., if a definition is provided for therein, and if not, as provided in the Municipal Code of the City of Monticello.
