If any person(s) responsible for paying the monthly fee set forth in § 52.05 fail to pay such fee by the required date, the Clerk- Treasurer shall take steps to collect such fees. The Clerk-Treasurer is authorized to direct the Superintendent of the Town Utilities to stop water services to any such residence even if the person(s) are current in payment of their water bills. The Clerk-Treasurer can also refer such a debt for collection. In such event the town can, in addition to the amount owing, collect interest, court costs, and reasonable attorney fees.
