A. Parallel Parking Only: Diagonal parking of automobiles, trucks and other vehicles on either side of 4th Street West between 1st Avenue West and 4th Avenue West and on either side of U.S. Route 67 between 4th Street West and 2nd Street West within the corporate limits of the village is hereby prohibited. Parking in this area shall be parallel parking only, and such parallel parking shall be so executed that the wheels of the vehicles nearest the curb shall be not farther away from the curb than twelve inches (12"). Whenever parking lines are marked upon the surface of the streets or avenues, vehicles shall be parked within such lines. (Ord. 876, 7-30-1984)

2. The chief of police or any other person authorized by the president and board of trustees shall cause signs to be posted in all areas where parking is prohibited in accordance with the provisions of this subsection and shall cause the curbings along the no parking areas to be painted yellow. C. Time Limit Parking: Except for Sundays or holidays, it shall be unlawful to park or leave standing continuously in excess of the period of time hereinafter designated, an automobile, truck, motorcycle, or other motor vehicle, or any trailer, wagon or other vehicle, upon the following streets and avenues between the following hours:

D. School Loading Zones:
1. Established: There is hereby established a school loading zone on the following portions of the public roadways of the village: On the east side of 4th Street West from the north right of way line of 15th Avenue (Blackhawk Avenue) north to the south line of a pedestrian crosswalk, being a distance of approximately one hundred seventy six feet (176').
2. Time Limit Parking:
a. During the periods of time set out below, it shall be unlawful for the driver of a vehicle to park said vehicle for an interval longer than three (3) minutes for the purpose of loading or unloading passengers into or out of the vehicle:
From 8:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M.
From 11:15 A.M. to 12:45 P.M.
From 2:45 P.M. to 3:45 P.M.
b. At all other times, the provisions of 15th Avenue East in subsection B of this section prohibiting parking shall remain in full force and effect. (Ord. 1037, 12-21-1992)
3. Parking At Thomas Jefferson School: For the safety of the children being dropped off and picked up at Thomas Jefferson School, parking is allowed along the east side of 4th Street West from a point twenty five feet (25') north of 16th Avenue (Bruce Avenue) to 15th Avenue (Blackhawk Avenue) for a distance of two hundred ninety one feet (291'). Parking is also allowed along 4th Street West from a point twenty five feet (25') north of 15th Avenue (Blackhawk Avenue) for a distance of seven hundred ninety four feet (794'). E. Truck Parking Prohibited:
1. It shall be unlawful to park any truck having a gross vehicle weight of ten thousand (10,000) pounds or more upon the following streets of the Village:
3rd Street East between 1st Avenue East and 2nd Avenue East.
8th Street East between 1st Avenue East and 2nd Avenue East.
That portion of 8th Street East and that portion of 9th Street East that lies north of 1st Avenue East (Airport Road).
2. It shall be unlawful to park any truck-camper, semitruck, semitrailer truck, truck-tractor, or tractor trailer truck along the east side of 1st Street West from a point located two hundred fifty four feet (254') south of the intersection of the south right-of-way line of 28th Avenue West extended east with the east right-of-way line of 1st Street West and thence south from said point for a distance of four hundred twenty six feet (426'). F. Taxicab Stands: It shall be unlawful to park or leave standing continuously an automobile, truck, motorcycle, or other motor vehicle, or any trailer, wagon or other vehicle, excepting a taxicab or taxicabs owned and operated as hereinafter set forth, in those parking spaces located on 4th Street West within the Village which have been designated by signs posted by the Village as reserved parking areas for motor vehicles owned and operated by employees of taxicab companies licensed by the Village.
