The village attorney is authorized to initiate litigation in the small claims court of the 14th judicial circuit to recover weed mowing bills and liens. The village is authorized to contract with any licensed collection agency for the collection of the sums accruing pursuant to subsection 5-4-2A of this chapter, and the collection agency may recover from the property owner, in addition to those sums, reasonable collection expenses, including court costs and attorney fees.
