§ 1444.02 HOUSE MOVER’S LICENSE REQUIRED.
   No person shall move any building upon any street or public ground within the limits of the City, except such person who annually before engaging in such occupation has obtained a license therefor from the City Manager for which he or she shall pay the sum of ten dollars ($10.00) per year, and no license shall be granted until the party applying therefor has given bond in the sum of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) with good and sufficient sureties to be approved by the City Manager, conditioned among other things that such party will pay any and all damages that may happen to any tree, pavement, street, curb or sidewalk or to any public building or structure, and all damages resulting to any person whomsoever, caused by the carelessness or negligence of the person so licensed, or by his or her agents, employees or workers, while engaged in the removal of any building in the streets of such City, and conditioned also that such party so licensed shall save and indemnify the City against all liabilities, judgments, cost and expenses that may in any case accrue against the City in consequence of the granting of such license or the permit provided for in § 1444.03, and shall strictly comply with the conditions of such permit.
