The Public - Institutional zoning district is established for the following purposes:
(a) To ensure that the public, quasi-public, and institutional use of property is related to the purposes and policies of the general plan and the public/quasi-public land use classification contained in the Middleburg Heights Master Plan.
(b) To recognize the public, quasi-public, and institutional nature of particular parcels of land and provide standards and guidelines for their continued use and future development.
(c) To ensure that the public, quasi-public, and institutional structures and developments in the district will be compatible with surrounding districts and uses.
