(a) Hours on Streets.
(1) No minor, 12 years of age or under, shall be upon the public streets, sidewalks, public parks or other public places during the period from one hour after sunset and one hour before sunrise.
(2) No minor, 13 years of age to 16 years of age, shall be upon the public streets, sidewalks, public parks or other public places during the period of 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. of the following day, except that on Friday and Saturday the hours shall be 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. of the following day.
(3) No minor, 17 years of age to 18 years of age, shall be upon the public streets, sidewalks, public parks or other public places between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. of the following day, except that on Friday and Saturday the hours shall be midnight to 5:00 a.m. of the following day.
(b) Special Functions. Any school, church, lodge or other organization wishing to hold entertainment for minors under the age of 18 years, which entertainment requires such minors to be out at a later hour than that called for in this section, shall make application either to the Mayor or the Chief of Police for permission to have the minors stay out to such later hour, which application shall state the time the entertainment will end. Minors who attend this function are required to be off the public streets one-half hour after the function is ended.
(c) Responsibility of Parents. No parent, guardian or person in loco parentis shall permit a minor to violate any of the provisions of this section.
(d) Violations; Minors. Any minor found in violation of this section shall be taken to the Municipal Building and the parent, guardian or person in loco parentis shall be notified to come to the Municipal Building and take personal charge of the minor, and the minor shall be released only to such parent, guardian or person in loco parentis, or to the juvenile authorities. Any minor found in violation of this section who has once before been held by the authorities for violation of this section shall be held for the juvenile authorities for proper disposition.
(e) Violations; Parents. A parent, guardian or person in loco parentis who violates this section is guilty of permitting a curfew violation, a minor misdemeanor.
