(a) The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to accept seized and forfeited cash and tangible property from the United States Government relinquished in accordance with the Comprehensive Drug Penalty Act of 1984, and to execute all documents and do all things necessary in furtherance thereof. Any acceptance of real estate shall be subject to approval by Council.
(b) There is hereby established a special fund to be known as the Law Enforcement Drug Penalty Fund, and the Finance Director of the City is hereby authorized and directed to place all cash received in accordance with the Act in said Fund to be used solely for law enforcement purposes.
