There is hereby created the office of Assistant Director of Law who shall be appointed by the Mayor, upon the recommendation of the Director of Law, and confirmed by Council. He shall be an attorney at law admitted to practice before the courts of Ohio. Unless excused by the Director of Law, he shall represent the City in all cases involving the criminal violation of City ordinances or Ohio laws in the Berea Municipal Court or in such other courts as may have jurisdiction to hear such cases. He shall perform such other duties as are assigned by the Director of Law.
