All members of the Division of Police, whether regular or part-time, shall furnish bond in such form and wording as shall be approved by the Law Director in the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000) for the faithful performance of his duties, and otherwise conditioned as provided by law and with such surety as shall be approved by the Mayor.
