SECTION 17.01 EFFECTIVE DATE OF CHARTER.

For the purpose of nominating and electing officers of the City and fixing the compensation of those to be elected in 1961, this Charter shall be in effect from and after the time of its approval by the electors of the City; and for all other purposes it shall be in effect on and after the first day of January, 1962.
