Council may, by the affirmative vote of not less than two-thirds (2/3) of its members, submit to the electors at the next regular November election any proposed amendment or amendments to this Charter; or upon the filing of a petition signed by electors numbering not less than ten percent (10%) of the total vote cast in the Municipality at the last preceding November election, setting forth any proposed amendment or amendments to this Charter, the Council shall forthwith submit such proposed amendment or amendments to the electors in accordance, in each instance, with the provisions of the Constitution and laws of Ohio now or hereafter in effect.
The petition aforesaid shall be filed with the Clerk of the Council who shall present same to the Council at its next regular meeting.
