In the event of death, resignation or removal from office of the Mayor, the President of Council shall thereupon become Mayor for the balance of the unexpired term and shall continue in office until his successor is elected and qualified.
During any period when mental or physical disability renders it impossible for the Mayor to perform the duties of the office of Mayor, the President of Council shall be the acting Mayor and shall also continue as President of the Council with all his regular powers and duties. Should the President of Council be unable for any cause to perform said duties, then the President Pro Tem shall become acting Mayor.
