(a) Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 731.231, there is hereby adopted by and for the Municipality the Ohio Basic Building Code (OBBC), as adopted by the Ohio Board of Building Standards, Department of Industrial Relations, as published in Division 4101:2 of the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC), together with all amendments, except as expressly modified in this chapter. The Ohio Basic Plumbing Code (OBPC) contained within the Ohio Basic Building Code (OBBC) is hereby made expressly applicable to both residential and commercial construction in the City.

(b) The BOCA National Building Code, 1990, Eleventh Edition, as well as the BOCA National Mechanical Code, 1990, Seventh Edition, as published by Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc., and as amended by Chapter 4101:2-1 through 4101:2-51 of the Ohio Administrative Code, are incorporated herein as fully as if set out in length.
