901.04 COVERING, BARRICADING, LIGHTING.
   (a)   Any road opening made within the City shall be covered with a steel plate securely anchored to the surrounding pavement. In addition thereto, the Director of Public Service may require the barricading and lighting of such openings for the safety of the public. In making application for such road openings, the applicant shall state on such application that he will install the required steel plate and that he will comply with the orders of the Director relative to any further safety precautions which may be deemed necessary.
   (b)   In any rigid pavement opening being of concrete or of concrete base surfaced with asphalt a complete section shall be removed and replaced in conformity with the sketch attached to original Ordinance 1967-40 and made a part hereof marked “Exhibit A” as prepared by the City Engineer, dated March 28, 1967.
