SECTION 9.1505.  PENALTIES AND UNLAWFUL CONTINUANCE.
   A.   Penalties.
      1.   It shall be unlawful for any Person;
         a.   To violate or fail to comply with any provision of this Building Code or any of the requirements hereof; and/or
         b.   To erect, construct, alter or repair mechanical equipment or systems in violation of any approved plan or directive of the Building Administrator or his designee; and/or
         c.   To alter or modify any permit or certificate issued under the provisions of this Building Code; and/or
         d.   Other than the Building Administrator or his designee, to remove or mutilate or otherwise deface a Stop Work Order; and/or
         e.   To counsel, aid or abet any such violation listed above in Subparagraphs a through d of this Paragraph 1 in Subsection A of this Section 9.1505.
      2.   Upon conviction thereof, any Person who has undertaken any of the unlawful acts listed in the above Paragraph 1 of this Subsection A of this Section 9.1505 shall be subject to fines as set forth in Chapter 2, Village Government, Article X, Tax, Fee, Fine and Penalty Schedules, Section 2.1003, Fine and Penalty Schedule, for each offense. Each day that a violation continues shall be a separate offense.
   B.   Unlawful Continuance.
      1.   It shall be unlawful for any Person to continue any work in violation of a Stop Work Order after having been served with a Stop Work Order, except such work as that Person is directed to perform to remove a violation or unsafe condition.
      2.   Upon conviction thereof, any Person who has undertaken any work in violation of a Stop Work Order, shall be subject to fines as set forth in Chapter 2, Village Government, Article X, Tax, Fee, Fine and Penalty Schedules, Section 2.1003, Fine and Penalty Schedule, for each offense. Each day that a violation continues shall be a separate offense.
   C.   Abatement of Violation. The imposition of the penalties herein prescribed shall not preclude the Building Administrator and Village Attorney of the Village from instituting appropriate action to prevent unlawful construction or to restrain, correct or abate a violation, or to prevent illegal occupancy of a Building structure or premises or to stop an illegal act, conduct, business or use of a Building or structure in or about any real estate located within the corporate limits of the Village.
