(A) Each taxicab will be equipped with a taxi-meter visible by the passenger at all times. The meter will be capable of giving a printed receipt to the passenger upon request.
(B) Fares for the city shall be as follows:
(1) That a $3.50 sitdown fee shall be charged for the first person, per trip from one point to another point within the City Zone.
(2)
That a $4 fare shall be charged per trip for the first person from one point to another point in the City Zone.
(3) That an additional fare of $1.25 for each additional passenger after the first passenger shall be assessed against each passenger over the age of 11 per trip from one point to another point in the City Zone. Children eleven years of age and younger who are accompanied by a parent shall not be assessed a sitdown fee or fare.
(4) That a fare of $1.75 per mile, per trip, shall be assessed each additional mile that is traveled outside of the City Zone.
(5) That a $5 delivery fee shall be assessed together with a regular taxi fare (as described in division (B)(2) above) for picking up and delivering an item or package. In addition, a $1.75 per mile fare (as described in division (B)(4) above) shall be charged for each mile traveled outside of the City Zone.
(6) That a $3.50 cancellation fee shall be charged for calling or summonsing a taxi cab and not taking it upon arrival.
(7) That a waiting time shall be charged as follows: $42 per hour (calculated at the rate of $.70 per minute). The first five minutes of waiting shall not be assessed.
(8) Thursday, Friday and Saturday between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m., the total fare in the City Zone per trip from one point to another within the Zone shall be $7.
(9) The City Zone shall be defined as that area in the City of Metropolis bordered on the West by the intersection of U.S. Route 45 and Airport Road; on the North by the intersection of Cedar Lane and North Avenue; and on the East by the intersection of Bullock Lane and U.S. Route 45. The Massac County High School and Massac Junior High School shall both be deemed to be within the City Zone.
(C) The term EXTRA PASSENGER shall apply only to those situations where the extra passenger enters at the same location as to the primary passenger and both the primary passenger and the extra passenger terminate at the same designation.
