§ 114.08 FOOD VEHICLES.
   Vehicles used by retail food establishments for the exhibition, carrying, or transportation of foods shall be so constructed that the portions of same which contain the food shall be covered so that no dust or dirt will settle on the food, and such portions of the vehicles as are designed to contain food shall be at least 18 inches above the surface of the public way while the vehicle is being used for the exhibition or conveyance of food. The vehicles shall be kept in a clean and sanitary condition and shall be protected from dust, dirt, flies, rodents, and other contamination. Employees handling foods on such vehicles shall observe all the sanitary requirements prescribed in this subchapter for employees of food purveyor's and the sanitary requirements so prescribed shall extend to such employees while engaged in and about the handling of foods on their way to and from and while on such vehicles.
