1-7-1: SALARIES:
The salaries for elective offices and appointive offices of the city shall be as fixed by the official action of the city council 1 . (2008 Code)

1-7-2: APPOINTIVE OFFICERS:
   A.   Appointments: The mayor shall appoint, subject to approval of the city council, the city clerk-treasurer and the city attorney. The mayor may appoint, subject to approval by the city council, such other officers as may be deemed necessary for the efficient operation of the business of the city.
   B.   Terms Of Office: All appointments under this chapter shall be deemed to be for an indeterminate period of time. Termination of any appointed official's term of office may be effected by the mayor, at any time, subject to the approval of the city council of the mayor's action, at the next regularly scheduled city council meeting or at a special meeting called for that purpose. 1-7-3: OFFICIAL BONDS:
   A.   Certain officers shall give bonds in favor of the city with two (2) or more sureties, or surety bonds may be furnished in lieu of personal bonds as follows:
      City clerk-treasurer
   B.   Bonds so furnished in accordance with the provisions of this section shall be furnished at the expense of the city. (2008 Code)
