131.01 DIRECTOR.
   (a)   Term. The Parks and Recreation Director’s position shall be filled by appointment by the Mayor with the approval of Council.
   (b)   Duties. The duties of the Parks and Recreation Director shall be as follows:
      (1)   To manage and supervise all parks and recreational facilities of the City.
      (2)   To supervise the improvement and repair of all parks and recreational facilities.
      (3)   To manage and utilize all parks and recreational facilities and to arrange with other organizations and groups for the use of such parks and recreational facilities.
      (4)   To supervise the construction of improvements on parks and recreational facilities.
      (5)   To perform other duties in connection with the position that may be from time to time assigned by Council or the Mayor.
   (c)   Qualifications. The qualifications of the Parks and Recreation Director shall be as follows:
      (1)   A college degree in an area of study related to parks and recreation; or
      (2)   Three years of work experience in the area of parks or recreation including at least one year of supervisory experience.
