"Hotel" means a building in which lodging is provided and offered to the public for compensation and which is open to transient guests, as distinguished from a boarding house and/or a lodging house where all rooms are accessed through an inside lobby or interior corridor where additional ancillary services such as a restaurant, meeting rooms and fitness facilities may be provided.
