(a) As deemed necessary by the Fire Chief or his designee, key boxes may be required to have any or all of the following:
(1) Keys to locked points of access;
(2) Keys to locked mechanical rooms;
(3) Keys to locked elevator rooms;
(4) Keys to elevator controls;
(5) Keys to any fenced or secured area;
(6) Keys to alarm panel;
(7) Any other keys as requested by the Fire Chief or his designee;
(8) A card containing names and phone numbers of emergency contact persons;
(9) Floor plans.
(b) Those premises with automatic gates or security padlocks must have a Rapid Access Key Switch or a Rapid Access Security Padlock on the secured fence.
(c) Premises that have hazardous materials stored on-site are additionally required to have the following:
(1) A current emergency and hazardous chemical inventory as per section 312 of SARA.
(2) A binder containing the MSDS required under Subtitle B Section 311 of SARA.
Or, in the event of a volume of MSDS too large to keep in the lock box, the information in the lock box must give the location of the on-site sheets, which must be readily available for use by emergency personnel.
(3) A site plan, which shall include the following:
A. The location of storage and use of hazardous materials on-site.
B. The location of on-site emergency fire fighting and spill clean-up equipment.
C. A diagram of the complete sewer system, water system, fire hydrants, and topographical information relative to the facility.
D. A copy of the Fire Department’s preplan of the facility.
