The Chief Building Official and his deputies, if any, shall receive compensation for their services as Council may, from time to time, determine; and each shall, before entering upon the duties of his office, give bond in the sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) to the City for the faithful performance of his duties. The bond shall be paid for by the City. Surety or sureties on the bond must be satisfactory to and approved by Council. The obligee of the bond shall be the City. (Ord. 68-58. Passed 5-4-59.)
