1305.02 DEPUTY INSPECTORS.
   (a)    Building Inspector. Whenever necessary for the proper administration and enforcement of this Building Code, the Chief Enforcement Official may employ a deputy, with the approval of the Mayor and confirmation of Council. The deputy shall have a general knowledge of the building trades, shall have had not less than five years experience as a superintendent of construction and shall have been approved by the Ohio Board of Building Standards. He shall be responsible directly to the Chief Enforcement Official.

   (b)    Electrical Inspector. Whenever necessary for the proper administration and enforcement of this Building Code, the Chief Enforcement Official may employ an Electrical Inspector with the approval of the Mayor and confirmation of Council. The Electrical Inspector shall have not less than five years experience as superintendent or the equivalent for installation of electrical equipment and devices, shall hold a valid "certificate of competency" as issued by the Board of Building Standards and shall be directly responsible to the Chief Enforcement Official.
 
   (c)    Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning Inspector (H.V.A.C.). Whenever necessary for the proper administration and enforcement of this Building Code, the Chief Enforcement Official may employ a H.V.A.C. Inspector, with the approval of the Mayor and confirmation of Council. The H.V.A.C. Inspector shall have a degree in mechanical engineering or heating, ventilating or air-conditioning, or in lieu of a degree as specified, shall have ten years experience in the installation of heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems and equipment, with five years of such experience as superintendent, responsible for design, layout and installation of such systems. He shall have the ability to review and interpret plans and specifications, calculate energy usage requirements in accordance with the Energy Conservation Code of the City. He shall have a working knowledge of electrical systems and equipment and building construction relative to the installation of heating, ventilating and air- conditioning equipment, shall be approved by the Board of Building Standards and shall be directly responsible to the Chief Enforcement Official.
 
   (d)    Pressure Piping and Fire Suppression Systems Inspector. Whenever necessary for the proper administration and enforcement of this Building Code, the Chief Enforcement Official may employ an inspector of pressure piping and fire suppression systems. He shall have a degree in mechanical engineering, or in lieu of a degree as specified, shall have five years experience in the installation and design of pressure piping or fire suppression systems. He shall have the ability to review and interpret plans and specifications for compliance with the O.B.B.C. Pressure Piping Systems Code 4101:8, shall hold a valid "certificate of competency" as issued by the Board of Building Standards Pressure Piping Division of Ohio, and shall be directly responsible to the Chief Enforcement Official.
