(a) Every owner, agent or occupant of any property to which an address number has been assigned shall prominently display such number, each not less than three inches in height, and in addition thereto, the number shall be visible from the curb. Such number shall be displayed on the structure in a conspicuous place, and in the case of new construction shall be displayed at the time a final building inspection is requested.
(b) If for any safety reason, as determined by the Chief Building Official, the placement of such number in compliance with subsection (a) hereof would be better served in another location, such request shall be made to the Traffic Safety Committee of the City by the Chief Building Official.
(c) No person shall remove or deface any assigned number under the provisions of this section.
(d) All violations shall be corrected within a period of thirty days after a written order is issued. Any violations not corrected within the specified period of time shall be prosecuted.
