12-2-10: CUL-DE-SACS AND DEAD END STREETS:
   A.   Maximum Length: Except where topography would render impracticable the standard distance as set forth herein, the maximum length of a cul-de-sac shall be one thousand feet (1,000') in areas of low density and five hundred feet (500') in all other cases.
   B.   Turnaround: Each cul-de-sac shall be provided with a turnaround having a minimum right of way radius of fifty feet (50').
   C.   Roadway Surface: The road surface within the cul-de-sac right of way shall have a minimum radius of thirty eight feet (38').
   D.   Stub Streets: In the case of temporarily dead ended streets which are stub streets designed to provide future connection with adjoining unsubdivided areas, the planning commission may require:
      1.   Temporary easement for a turnaround having a radius of fifty feet (50'); or
      2.   An appropriate area for a backaround.
   E.   Storm Drainage: In all instances, proper provisions shall be made for adequate storm drainage so that stormwater does not collect at the ends of these streets. (1987 Code § 12-419)
