8-2-6: TAMPERING WITH METERS UNLAWFUL:
The tampering with water meters or meter boxes of the city, the placing of any bypass connection on or around the meters, or the use of any other device tending to interfere with the proper registration of same, is unlawful. The name that appears on the water billing will be held liable for any illegal tampering with water meters. (Ord. 2003-07, 8-28-2003)
