A. Rights Of Way: All rights of way for roads or streets within any division or subdivision of the city for residential or other similar purposes shall be sixty feet (60') in width. (1987 Code § 14-201)
B. Road Surface Between Curbs: All streets which have curbs shall provide for a minimum of thirty feet (30') road surface between curbs. (1987 Code § 14-202)
C. Borrow Ditches, Streets Without Curbing: All roads and streets not having curbing shall have a minimum of thirty (30) feet of traversable surface and where borrow ditches are required, at least six (6) feet on each side beyond the surface of the roadway shall be required for such borrow ditches.
D. The minimum material thickness of the traveled way shall be designed by an engineer registered in the State of Oklahoma using the OSI method or other approved method as recommended by the latest edition of the State of Oklahoma County Roads Design Guidelines Manual but shall not be less than the following:
1. The surfacing of the traveled way shall have a three-inch (3") minimum thickness of hot mix hot laid asphalt or a double bituminous material if providing access to four (4) lots or less.
2. The base under the traveled way and under the shoulders shall be a minimum of four (4) inches of compacted aggregate base if hot mix hot laid asphalt is used as the surfacing OR the base under the traveled way and under the shoulders shall be minimum of nine (9) inches of compacted aggregate base if a double bituminous surface is used as the surfacing.
3. The subgrade under the base shall be six (6) inches of compacted subgrade compacted to a 95% Proctor Density.
4. The surfacing of the shoulders may be a non-paved compacted aggregate OR a paved surface of double bituminous material OR a paved surface of hot mix hot laid asphalt.
E. Culverts and Tin Horns: All culverts and tin horns referred to in the city shall be a minimum size of eighteen (18) inches in diameter unless otherwise approved in writing by the City Manager or his designee. (1987 Code §§ 14-203, 14-206; amd. Ord. 2013-16, 12-19-2013; Ord. 2021-01, 7-23-2020)
