3-2-16: POSTING OF SIGNS:
   A.   Every person who sells alcoholic beverages at retail shall post conspicuously and keep so posted at the place of business a sign stating the following:
"IT'S THE LAW. WE DO NOT SELL ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES TO PERSONS UNDER 21 YEARS OF AGE."
   B.   Any person who owns, operates or manages a place of business which sells alcoholic beverages, as defined in Oklahoma Statutes 37A, for off-premises consumption shall conspicuously post at the place of display of such beer or alcohol and at the place of sale (cash register) a sign described as follows: The word "WARNING:" centered and in capital letters at least three inches (3") in height will be at the top of the notice, with the following language in capital letters of at least three-fourths inch (3/4") in height:
"PURCHASING ALCOHOL OR BEER AND SUPPLYING IT TO A PERSON UNDER 21 YEARS OF AGE IS A FELONY UNDER THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA, PUNISHABLE BY A FINE OF NOT LESS THAN $2,500.00 NOR MORE THAN $5,000.00, OR IMPRISONMENT FOR UP TO FIVE YEARS, OR BOTH SUCH FINE AND IMPRISONMENT."
   C.   Failure to post a sign as required in this section shall be an offense punishable by a fine in an amount as described in the City fee schedule. (Ord. 2018-13, 9-27-2018, eff. 10-1-2018)
