1385.01 PERMIT REQUIRED.
No person, being the owner or occupant or in control or having the management of any residential parcel of real property located within the Municipality, shall hold or conduct or permit to be held or conducted upon such property the sale of any household goods, equipment, utensils, appliances, personal clothing or effects or other similar personal property unless a permit has been granted therefor and the sale is conducted in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. A permit shall not be required where six items or less are offered for sale.

1385.02 PERMIT APPLICATION AND ISSUANCE.
(a) The Building Commissioner shall provide applications for permits for garage and public sales. Such an application shall include the name of the applicant, who shall be a resident of the Municipality, his address, telephone number, the nature of the merchandise to be offered for sale, the date of the sale and the hours and duration of the sale.
(b) The applicant shall apply for such permit ten days before the date of the sale. The Building Commissioner may issue such permit seven days before such sale.

(c) A permit for each sale shall be valid for three consecutive days. Not more than one permit shall be issued in any twelve month period, per residence, unless there has been a bona fide sale of the residence.
(d) A copy of the application and permit shall be delivered to the Chief of Police so that traffic may be supervised, if necessary, and so that he or she may assign a police officer to verify that the sale is being held in accordance with this chapter.
(e) If the sale is to be held in a condominium unit, the applicant must provide a letter from an officer or agent of the condominium association approving the application.
