In the Department of Law established by the City Charter, there shall be a Director of Law appointed by the Mayor. The compensation of the Director shall be as established from time to time by Council. The compensation of the Director shall not and is not intended to cover the handling or settlement of any litigation in any court or the handling or representation of any City-related labor matters and negotiations thereto or any other extraordinary legal services. Compensation for such services shall be as established from time to time by Council. The Director of Law shall be paid monthly.
