There is hereby created in the full-time unclassified service of the City the position of Assistant Chief of the Bureau of Ambulance and Emergency Medical Service. The Assistant Chief of the Bureau of Ambulance and Emergency Medical Service shall be certified and/or licensed by the appropriate agency of the State of Ohio and shall be well qualified to do and perform the duties of Chief of the Bureau of Ambulance and Emergency Medical Service in the event of his absence and shall perform such other duties and assume such responsibilities as shall be designated or assigned by his or her superiors.
