There is hereby created in the unclassified (volunteer) service of the City the position of Chief of Heavy Rescue. The Chief of Heavy Rescue shall be well qualified to and, under the direction of the Fire Chief, shall direct first aid and rescue operations, conduct training and schooling activities with reference thereto, and assume such other responsibilities and perform such other duties as shall be from time to time designated or assigned by his superior officers.
