147.11 ASSISTANT FIRE CHIEF.
   There is hereby created in the unclassified (volunteer) service of the City, the position of Assistant Fire Chief. The Assistant Fire Chief shall be well qualified to, and, under the direction of the Chief of the Bureau of Fire Fighting, shall supervise the operation and personnel of the Bureau of Fire Fighting, assume the duties and carry out the responsibilities of Chief of the Bureau of Fire Fighting in his absence or disability, and assume such other responsibilities and perform such other duties as shall be from time to time designated or assigned by his superiors.
