There is hereby created in the unclassified service of the City, the position of School Guard in the Division of Police. Such School Guard shall be well qualified to do and perform such duties as assigned by the Chief of Police, of providing safe conduct of school children across such highway crossings as may be designated by the Director of Public Safety.
