(a) An application for a permit may only be obtained at the Maumee Division of Police Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; applications may not be requested on Weekends nor Legal Holidays.
(b) Not more than twenty-four hours after completion of the application form provided in Section 729.03, the Division of Police shall review the application information. If it determines after an investigation, that the information furnished under the requirements of Section 729.03 is correct; that the applicant proposes to engage in lawful commercial or professional enterprise and that neither the applicant nor the enterprise upon which the applicant proposes to engage constitutes a clear and present danger to the residents of the municipality, he shall issue a license to the applicant.
(c) Any applicant who has applied for a license under Section 729.03, and to whom the Division of Police has, after an investigation, denied a license may appeal to Council. Notice of appeal shall be filed with Council within five (5) days after the denial by the Division of Police. Such appeal shall be heard by Council at the next regular meeting and its decision shall be final.(Ord. 227-2013. Passed 12-2-13.)
