There is hereby created in the Division of Municipal Prosecution the unclassified position of Assistant Municipal Prosecutor. Under the supervision of the Municipal Prosecutor, the Assistant Municipal Prosecutor shall be responsible for prosecuting criminal cases, advising City law enforcement agencies, and preparing legal memoranda and appellate briefs, and shall perform such other duties as Council by Ordinance may prescribe or as may be directed by the Municipal Prosecutor or the Director of Law. During the term of employment, the Assistant Municipal Prosecutor may engage in the private practice of law so long as it does not conflict with their duties and responsibilities for the City of Maumee.
