(A) There is hereby created the office of Plumbing Inspector of the city. The Plumbing Inspector shall be appointed by the Commissioner of Public Property with the advice and consent of the City Council to hold office at the will of the Council and until his successor shall have been appointed and qualified. No person shall be appointed Plumbing Inspector who shall not have been, at the time of his appointment, a licensed plumber in accordance with the Illinois Plumbing License Law.
(B) The Plumbing Inspector shall not engage in the plumbing business or be interested directly or indirectly in any firm or corporation engaged in the plumbing business during his term of office.
