§ 963.23 FISHING.
   (a)   Fishing regulations. 
      (1)   Regulations. A City of Mason fishing license is required to take fish from City of Mason park waters.
      (2)   A City of Mason fishing license may be obtained in the form of a daily pass or season pass as established in the ordinances for fishing rates.
      (3)   The park waters designated for fishing are the lakes at Pine Hill Lakes Park and other bodies of water as designated by the Parks and Recreation Director.
      (4)   Anglers must have their City of Mason license in their possession while fishing and must show the license to anyone on request.
      (5)   Snagging. Snagging with a hook to pierce and hook a fish in a part of the body other than the inside of the mouth is prohibited.
      (6)   Fishing lines. Anglers may not use more than two fishing lines, whether fastened to a pole, a rod and reel, or hand held. Anglers may use up to two hooks on each line.
      (7)   Archery anglers. No person shall fish with a bow and arrow of any kind.
      (8)   Ice fishing. Ice fishing is not permitted.
      (9)   Cast nets. Anglers shall not use a cast net with a square mesh less than one-quarter inch or larger than one inch on a side, or with a diameter of greater than ten feet. Anglers are encouraged to use fishing lines.
      (10)   Live release of fish. Any fish not of legal size and/or the quantity limits as posted in Pine Hill Lakes Park or not legally caught must be released immediately.
      (11)   Fishing limits. Anglers must follow the size limitations and quantity limits for fishing. The fishing limits shall be posted at Pine Hill Lakes Park and made available upon request. Fishing may become catch and release only as designated and posted by the Park and Recreation Director.
   (b)   Fishing rates. 
      (1)   Rates established. There are hereby established the rates for daily rates and season passes for fishing. The rates shall be as established and set forth in the fee schedule in Part One - Title Eleven, Chapter 205 of these codified ordinances. The amount of the rates shall be as set by ordinance from time to time.
      (2)   Annual adjustment. Beginning January 1, 2011, the rates established by this section shall be adjusted, effective January 1 of each year, by a cost of living allowance to be determined by City Council on an annual basis. An adjusted annual rated schedule shall be posted at Pine Hill Lakes Park and made available upon request.
