(a) Whoever violates any provision of the Ohio Fire Code or fails to comply therewith, or violates or fails to comply with any order made thereunder, or builds in violation of any detailed statement of specifications, or plans submitted and approved thereunder, or any certificate or permit issued thereunder, shall for each and every violation and noncompliance respectively, where another penalty is not otherwise provided for, be guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree.
(b) The imposition of one penalty for any violation shall not excuse the violation or permit it to continue and all persons shall be required to correct or remedy the violation or defect within a reasonable time or time prescribed in any order issued, whichever is sooner. Further, the imposition of one penalty shall not preclude the enforcement by imposing civil penalties or utilizing any other procedure or remedy available under state law.
(c) When not otherwise specified, each day that the prohibited conditions are maintained shall constitute a separate offense.
