§ 911.02 EXPANSION JOINTS.
   (a)   Expansion joints in sidewalk shall be made of bituminous saturated felt or fiber and shall be not less than one-half inch thick. They shall be so placed as to completely fill the joint to within one-fourth inch of the surface of the sidewalk. An expansion joint shall be placed at intervals of not more than 50 feet and also at all points of curve in the curb and gutter, at the first joint on each side of inlets, at all points where the walk contacts the curb, where new construction abuts old construction and at any other points shown on the plans or as directed by the Engineer.
   (b)   Expansion joints will be paid for at the unit price bid per lineal foot for the number of feet of expansion joint actually installed.
