Every precious metal and gem dealer shall provide the Chief of Police each day with a description of every article made of or containing precious metal or gems which was purchased by the dealer during the preceding day. An exception is made for the description of any articles purchased on Saturday, which must be provided to the Chief of Police on the Monday following the purchase. This description shall be provided by the dealer on a form supplied by the Chief of Police.
